Lupe Fiasco: All Black Everything

27 Feb

Here’s the latest drop from LASERS.

Both catchy and compelling, “All Black Everything” is Lupe’s (and my) favorite track off his upcoming album. With references to Black History, politics, and Hip Hop, Lupe tells the story of his dreams: a world at peace with no history of slavery and a Hip Hop culture without racial context.

Any verse that can touch on black women, the KKK, George Bush, Bill O’Reilly and the Quaran at the same time is bait enough for me. “All Black Everything” is a winner…hook, line, and sinker. Peep the video and let me know what you think.

Uh, and it ain’t no projects
Keepin it real is not an understood concept
Yea, complexion’s not a contest
Cause racism has no context
