Mac Miller: Get Up (Official Video)

1 Apr

Sorry guys, I haven’t been able to post for the past couple of days. In between school work, internships, AND a broken P.O.S. laptop–it’s been difficult. That aside, here’s the new Mac Miller video “Get Up,” off BDE. Enjoy.

Mac Miller: On and On (prod. ID Labs)

24 Mar

Leaked via Mac’s Twitter account, here is another “fresh” release from XXL’s breakout Valedictorian. The track has a very laid back flow–one of my favorites from the young and talented Pittsburgh native. Download at the jump.

On My Charlie Sheen Sh*t…

23 Mar

Brenton Duvall and Chris Levintow remix Mac Miller’s dope hit “Donald Trump.” Chris’ bars are hot though he clearly reads them off his computer screen (waddup Wiz?!?!). I dig anything with Charlie Sheen atm, not to mention that Brenton’s remix of Childish Gambino’s “Let Me Dope You” was fire…this one’s no exception. Can’t wait for the mastered version to drop…Comment below.

Mac Miller: Futuristic Funk

Mac Miller: She Said (unofficial video)

15 Mar

The video clearly needs work, but I can dig where the production team is going…On a real note though–will filmmakers please lighten up on all the gaudy typography?!?! The end product turns out lookin like a shoddy middle school PowerPoint presentation. With the insane popularity of BDE, I think you can dream a little higher.

What say you Mac?

D-Why: Devil Horns To All (video)

13 Mar

I know, I know…But seriously, when you murder a beat–even one as played out as ‘Black and Yellow’–it deserves note. This is the first I’m hearing of D-Why but from what I can gather, it won’t be the last.

His upcoming mixtape, “Don’t Flatter Yourself” is due to drop sometime this year. Until then, follow his facebooktwitter, and blog.

When it comes to filming, Pittsburgh-native Ian Wolfson knows a thing or two. Having filmed the ‘A Day In The Life‘ series with Mac Miller, Wolfson and his company Rex Arrow Films know how to turn a small budget production into a well-crafted work of art. Follow immediately.

“Whether it’s the different lenses that I use or the style of the video, it’s more about putting the artist in the foreground of it. Make them look great […] I grew up watching Hype Williams, Mike Jones, and all these other legendary directors. I’d be lying if I didn’t say the videos from the mid to late 90’s didn’t have an enormous impact on me.”–Wolfson
